We are entirely independent of the police

We are entirely independent of the police. You will be assisted by specially qualified police station representatives and solicitors who will attend to deal with your interview at the police station.

We advise you freely and independently and our advice is intended to allow you to make the best decisions in your case. it is important to note that your instructions to us and our advice to you is completely confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties unless you request for us to do so and it helps your case.

We remain confidential with all the information we hold and your instructions throughout your case. This confidentiality applies throughout the process even if you are charged with an offence and have to go to Court.

Call out 24 hours a day and 7 days a week

We really do not mind waking up in the middle of the night to either advise you on the phone or attend at the police station. This is our job. We want you to have the best representation.

You have the right to a solicitor when you are being interviewed

It is one of your rights under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 to have a solicitor present. This means you get the best possible advice to ensure you make the right decision and your rights are protected.

You will be in safe hands we are Criminal Defence Specialists

We have an experienced team of criminal lawyers who are always available to assist you. Ask for us and you will get the best representation available.

If you have not done nothing wrong, you still need us

Choosing to have a solicitor does not make you look guilty to the police and if you have done nothing wrong there is even more need to ask for us so that we can give you the appropriate advice as to how to present your case.

We will not keep you waiting

The length of time you are detained at the police station is a matter for the police however we will not keep either you or the officers waiting either during office hours or out of office hours. Pepperells Solicitors only have fully accredited police station representatives and solicitors who will attend at the police station for you.

We know that you will want to be released from the police station as soon as possible. We will do all we can to make sure the police station procedure is completed as quickly as possible.

If you are charged your police station interview is very important

The police interview is a very important piece of evidence. The decision to either answer questions or to exercise your right to remain silent is very important. It can have an impact on the entire case and will certainly be mentioned in Court. It will help you if you have given thoughtful and considered responses to police questioning having had an opportunity to discuss the case with us first.

We can make representations to the police

We have dedicated and accredited representatives who will attend at the police station for you. They will be important in negotiations for many reasons. For example, it might be argued that there is insufficient evidence to charge you with an offence ensuring that the representative makes appropriate representations on your behalf. The police may want to keep you for court to seek a remand into custody. We can suggest bail conditions on your behalf at the police station.

Do not go into the interview wearing a blind fold

The police provide us with disclosure prior to your interview. This is very important because if you are to be interviewed on your own you will not receive such disclosure. We can advise you on the evidence and the right course of action for the interview. This is very important considering how important the case is and may make the difference between either being charged with an offence or leaving the police station without any charges. It is important to know your rights.
