Pepperells Join Forces With Fawcett & Co To Keep Children Fueled And Ready For School

Pepperells Solicitors and Fawcett and Co Accountants have joined forces to fund a local school breakfast club in Lincoln.

St Giles Academy, on Addison Drive in Lincoln, were facing the possibility of having to close the club due to funding cuts. The project, initiated by Pepperells in 2022, has provided a regular weekly delivery of breakfast items from Morrisons, for the children to enjoy as part of a healthy hearty breakfast, keeping them fuelled and ready for the school day. Items such as bread, milk, juices, cereal and fresh fruit.

Your morning can set up the success of the rest of your day so taking the time to enjoy a healthy breakfast is paramount to the learning and development of young minds.”

A healthy breakfast for children has been found to improve cognitive function, particularly with their memory, attention and academic performance. The breakfast club welcomes more than 40 students per day, the children enjoy a variety of craft activities, indoor and outdoor sports, a reading zone and a high energy group dance before heading into school to start their day.

This project is being supported by food partners Morrisons who pick, pack and deliver the breakfast items each week.
