Gemma Adams is an Associate Solicitor in the firm’s Public Law Family team, representing parents and children in care proceedings brought by local authorities. Qualified as a solicitor in 2005, she has many years’ experience acting in complex and sensitive public law children matters.
Gemma advises and advocates for her clients throughout the course of proceedings, ensuring they understand the process and that their voices are heard at each stage. Her work focuses on safeguarding the interests of children and supporting families through what is often an extremely challenging and emotionally demanding time.
Gemma obtained her Law degree from the University of Hull and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York, before undertaking her training contract at Myer Wolff and remaining there as a solicitor in the Family Department. She joined Pepperells in 2014 following its merger with Myer Wolff, bringing with her established expertise in public law children work.
She has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2009, reflecting her specialist accreditation to represent children in public law proceedings. Gemma is also a member of Resolution, underlining her commitment to constructive, child‑focused approaches within the family justice system.
