Ian Durant is a Solicitor Advocate specialising in criminal defence, representing clients in both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court. He is duty solicitor qualified and regularly advises clients at the police station, as well as providing advocacy in contested hearings and trials.
With an LLB (Hons) and Higher Rights of Audience in Criminal Law, Ian has extensive experience in criminal practice, including a decade heading a very busy Criminal Department in the Midlands. His background includes successful trial advocacy at all levels of the criminal courts, and he plays an active role in supporting and mentoring colleagues within the team. Outside of work, Ian has received a commendation for rescuing a person from a river and supports local dog and animal charities.
