Simon Rounding is a Solicitor and Head of the firm’s Rural Department, with over four decades of experience advising agricultural and rural clients. Qualifying as a solicitor in 1981, Simon has built a respected career supporting farming families, landowners and rural businesses through complex legal and commercial decisions.
As Head of the rural practice, Simon advises on a broad range of matters affecting agricultural enterprises, including land ownership, succession planning and long-term business strategy. He is known for providing clear, pragmatic advice grounded in a deep understanding of the rural economy and the realities faced by farming businesses.
Before joining Pepperells, Simon was a Partner at Elmhirst Parker, where he played a significant role in shaping and delivering legal services to the rural community. He continued with the firm following its acquisition in 2025, maintaining longstanding client relationships across the region.
Simon is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), reflecting his specialist expertise in succession and estate planning, particularly within a rural and agricultural context.
